Ten years ago, when I first started Corgibytes and wanted to make empathy central to our culture, a consultant told me "You can't say the word empathy and software in the same sentence. No one will take you seriously."
Well, a lot has changed in the last decade. And next summer, you'll see both of those words in the title of a book, Empathy-Driven Software Development, which I'm writing with my dear friend and empath-technician extraordinaire, Carmen Shirkey Collins.
